Typical indoor function

We specialise in Elegant and Exclusive functions and thanks to our glorious Botanical Gardens, clients have the option of selecting a location on the rolling lawns or an inside venue for their function.

A venue hire applies for all functions, however many of our menus already include the venue hire charge –

Exclusive use of a venue:

Where an inside venue is required and you wish to have exclusive use of this venue, then an additional venue hire charge applies depending on the venue chosen. The options available are:

• The Pub and deck – only available when the pub is closed (typically after 18h00) – venue hire R2 500 for 6 hours
• The upstairs area of the pub (semi-private) – Venue hire R500 for 3 hours
• The Silver Birch restaurant – venue hire R4 500 (for 6 hours) provided you make use of the room with its normal restaurant setup. If you require a traditional banqueting setup with round tables and padded chairs then the venue hire charge is R7 500 (for 6 hours).
• The entire venue including the buildings and gardens can be hired with exclusive use for special events such as large weddings – venue hire R25 000

Music at the Manor:

Please note that we are very strict about music. No DJ’s or private sound systems may be used under any circumstances, no sound may be played in the gardens as this is a common area shared by other clients (certain circumstances may permit music for short periods), unless you have exclusive use of the property.

The only music that is permitted at the Manor is as follows:

• Acoustic music – such as acoustic guitars, violins etc permitted provided these instruments are not used in conjunction with amplifiers.
• Music may be played on our inhouse sound system in the Silver Birch room provided the volume is kept to background levels – our duty manager will monotor sound levels and client must accept his/her guidance as to the volume permitted. Note the volume must be such that our neighbours do not hear the music.
• Music may be played in our pub at reasonable levels.

Note: No music is permitted after 22h00
